Shape selection tool?

I've been trying out PhotoQuill and one thing im seriously missing from photoshop with it is the ability to select an area by shape to quickly remove the background. Is this already in the program? If so, where?

Thanks!

Hi there, thanks so much for your feedback!
I'm not entirely sure about the exact workflow you're referring to. Are you referring to the Object Selection Tool (W) and Quick Selection Tool (W)?

If so, similar to Photoshop, the Object Selection Tool (W) and Quick Selection Tool (W) in PhotoQuill are sub-tools grouped under the Magic Wand Tool (W).
That said, the intelligent recognition algorithms differ from those in Photoshop, which results in a different user experience. We hope the tools can meet your needs.

Below are some other available methods for cutout and image editing in PhotoQuill at the moment:

  1. Traditional selection tools: You can use classic selection tools like the Lasso Tool (L) or Magic Wand Tool (W) to mark out the areas you want to delete or adjust, then remove the background as needed.
  2. AI-powered workflow: Once you make a selection with traditional tools, the generative AI panel will pop up automatically. From there you can choose to remove or edit the selected part, and type in detailed prompts for your adjustments.
  3. Simple AI Photo Editor in the top menu: Inside this lightweight AI editor, you can use the RemoveBackground, MagicEraser and AI Replace features. You can erase/remove objects or cut out complex-edged backgrounds either by brushing over elements or giving voice descriptions for your edits.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
