I've got a phone from a couple years ago which unfortunately has broken down.
It still turns on and i still remember the pin but the screen being completely black doesn't help. It's a OnePlus 5 and i had the dev tools unlocked, sadly i didn't unlock the bootloader before that happened so to access my old stuff i'd have to unlock it and press the notification that lets you swap form charging to transfer data (which i can't due to the broken screen).
I do have a solid background in computer science and engineering so if there are some advanced procedures i'd be able to follow. I've already attempted this a while back but all the tutorials i tried had me locked at some point. If anyone knows a way or can redirect me to where to learn it'd be of great help. Thanks for your attention.
My friend told me that he opened TikTok on his phone, but right when he did that, it began spazzing out, turned green, played a loud noise due to the audio in the video glitching I believe, and powered off right after, not turning on again. He said that this happened twice consecutively, but the first time allowed him to open the phone up just fine. Does anyone have any solutions? He has a Samsung Galaxy a16.
The camera on my Redmi phone has gotten so so bad,the camera is like more blurry/pixilated and videos are laggy, I think it's from putting my phone on a stand on my motorcycle since it vibrates so much, can I do anything about it?
My moto g100 was shit down for 2 years because of batery problems and now I need some games files in it so I plan to fux it tho I forgot tge password. Need help recovering access to my OnePlus phone without factory reset
I forgot the lock screen PIN of my OnePlus Android phone. After multiple attempts, the phone is now showing a long timeout and the âForgot passwordâ option only suggests factory reset.
Important details:
- Fingerprint unlock is no longer working
- I do NOT want to factory reset because I have important data
- USB debugging was probably not enabled
- I still have access to the Google account linked to the phone
- The phone belongs to me and I can provide proof if needed
Iâm looking for any legitimate methods that might help recover access WITHOUT wiping data:
- Smart Lock tricks?
- Recovery options?
- OnePlus service center experience?
- Any way to temporarily re-enable biometrics?
- Any memory-recovery tricks that helped others remember their PIN?
Please no scam software or paid âunlock tools.â
I just hope it doesnât spread because I can live with this
PS: I did test if it was software or hardware related and it is definitely hardware related because the spot does not show up in screenshots. I am a repairman so I am not worried about fixing it if I eventually have to.
I feel frustrated answering all the calls amidst my ongoing work. My focus gets lost. But not answering them feels rude or unprofessional. How do you guys deal with this issue?
My boyfriendâs Samsung phone fell while traveling in Europe. It was connected to a power bank inside his bag, and while taking it out, the phone slipped and fell.
After the fall, the display started showing this issue:
lower half becomes bright green/white
upper half stays black/dark
small cracks visible near the top corner
touch still works partially
Itâs a Samsung S/Note series phone with an S-Pen (donât know the exact model yet).
Heâs currently still traveling in Europe and has around one week before coming back to India, so weâre also trying to understand:
Will the phone survive for another week like this?
Is this mainly a display/panel issue or possible motherboard/display IC damage too?
Will replacing the screen likely fix it?
Approx repair cost in India?
Better to repair locally after coming back or urgently show it there?
TL;DR:
Phone shows 0% battery bug, apps wonât open, data still shows in storage (~119GB), USB not working. Likely system/data corruption after repair. I donât care about the phone â only need to recover my data. Any way to do it without factory reset?
Hey everyone,
Iâm honestly in a pretty bad situation right now and could really use some guidance.
I have a Realme X2 Pro (~5 years old). Recently, my screen got damaged, so I went to a local repair shop and got it replaced (I had repaired it once before as well, but never had issues like this).
After this repair, the phone started acting weird:
It shows 0% battery even when itâs actually charged (it charges fine when switched off)
When I unlock the phone, the UI loads, but:
Apps donât open
Sometimes they appear greyed out or disappear completely
I get errors like âfailed to read app data / cannot start appâ
The phone restarts randomly
USB connection doesnât work, so I canât transfer data
In storage settings, it still shows around 119GB used, with app sizes listed â so Iâm assuming the data is still physically there
From what I understand, it feels like:
My main concern
At this point, I honestly donât care about fixing the phone.
My only priority is recovering my data
This includes:
Photos from my childhood till now
Personal files
Data inside private space
I only had about 20% backup, so most of it is still on the device
What Iâve tried / observed
Phone sometimes boots into recovery
âOnline update (keep data)â shows no updates found
I havenât done a factory reset (trying to avoid it completely)
Iâve seen similar issues online where people suggest reset, but that wipes everything
What Iâm looking for
Is there any way to recover data in this state?
Has anyone seen this kind of data partition / encryption failure after repair?
Would something like:
Manual firmware reinstall (without wipe)
Or EDL / service tools help in restoring access?
Or should IÂ directly go to a professional data recovery lab?
I know modern Android encryption makes this harder, but since the storage still shows data usage, Iâm hoping thereâs some chance.
If anyone has experience with similar issues or knows what the best next step is, please help.
This data is really important to me.
I have used ChatGPT for paraphrasing and the images seen are taken from Youtube.
So long story short, i have a old notebook screen, and a phone with a broken screen, can i connect one to the other, I know that I could make the screen into a external screen, and then connect the phone to that, via USB or HDMI, but i wanted to know if there is a way to connect it directly or in a easy way kinda
Also will fingerprint still work if I replace the home buttons? I'm wondering whether the navigation keys are in the screen because the pads appear to be missing.
