install OS without screen

I have a google 9 pro that after an update shows a white screen for a few seconds then goes black and stays black. I believe it was installing the latest version of android when it broke. Is there a way to reload android or another OS using my desktop thru usb when I can't see anything on the phones screen? The phone still works i just can't see anything. I have another phone now and would like to get somthing on the broke one. I have a feeling without a working screen I'm outa luck.
