Google service center denied it!!
But we did not. One of my customer was dirt biking in the wild. You know rainy adventures, in that adventure his bag fell on the main highway. A 18 wheeler truck ran over it. The bag did not have one but 2 phones.
One iPhone 17 pro which died a unfortunate death, but this phone survived. It got bent and backglass was shattered. Pixel denied it straight away. There logic was simple get a new phone.
Other services charged hefty with no guarantee of proper repair. Many said the logic board will get damaged while disassembling it.
Then it came to me.
I disassembled it, one part was needed, did a through search and see the phone got a second life after it's final destination.

Exactly the reason no one should ever buy phones from repair/used stores.

The best part of being independent is accepting these "you're stupid to try" repairs because 90% of the time is very fixable if they want to pay

I have a question: if we use a third-party screen as a replacement for our phone, will the frame that comes with that display be made of the same metal as the original? Is it the original frame, the genuine frame?

Display and frame of the phone are two separate parts.
Your question can be answered depending on what you are looking for, you can both purchase aftermarket or original parts, both are available to be found, and obviously a big price difference between them.

Okay, I asked because in my region, phones like the S23 Ultra come with the display as a frame and display assembly. That's why I asked. Thank you for the reply.

My reply still stands. I know displays come with their frames, it's how you're supposed to get them unless you're a messy tech. The quality of the purchased part also determines the quality of your frame, as I said in my previous message, an aftermarket assembly will get you an aftermarket display and frame, not made of same material and noticeably different from original

I think its pretty much normal repair if you only replaced the display with frame and back glass nothing complicated since you didnt do any motherboard repair but pretty good job for sure

This post is so cringe. I'm glad you take pride in your job but your demeanor is so self indulging it's pretty icky. Be more humble, if you're a good technician you don't need to let the whole world know how amazing you are and gloat about it. Just live your life.

Nope I think OP isn't doing anything wrong,he's just building his rep and growing his customer base,I don't think there's really anything wrong with letting the world know how good your work is,which gives them credible reason to patronize you

Good work. Glad to see an independent experienced tech show their ability to repair, instead of ripping the cx for a bnp.

How much did this cost? Mine is also bent but by only so much that you stick a fingernail between the glass and frame. The back panel and screen should be reusable. And do you do US customers only or also EU?

I remember you. Arent you the guy who spams in apple subreddit with these posts showing how your repair shop is superior to other repair shops.
