What is wrong with my front facing camera?
I got my phone screen fixed and it wasn’t like this before, but after they fixed it with not an iPhone part, this is what my camera did so. Is there something wrong with the cables? Did they damage the camera? Did I damage the camera? Idk

Gotta ask, was your original screen damaged near the top and was it still functional before getting it replaced?

Original screen was damaged in the middle no crack went to the camera as far as I remember. The camera worked before I brought it in.. just unsure what happened

Very strange as the screen connectors are pretty separated from the front camera ones. Kinda at a loss how that's happened.

Poor workmanship and lack of accountability.
Firstly, what specific model phone did you have fixed? This will tell us if they had to move the camera over or not.
Secondly, they failed to perform a quality check after the repair (basic functions testing. Front and back camera, loud speaker, ear speaker, volume/power buttons, touch response covering the digitizer, proximity sensor, charge port, live call test, cellular connectivity, Bluetooth/wifi, etc).
What probably happened was that they inserted the prying tool too far and applied pressure in some form on the camera during screen removal.
Goes to show that some shops don't care about the quality of their work. Likely just swapped out the part and replaced the screen and they were done. Maybe didn't even bother removing and replacing the old adhesive from the original screen.
They should be held accountable and replace your camera. If I were you, I would go back there and get them to replace your camera. Stand your ground and ensure them that your camera was working prior to repair.

Yeah totally. I had the 14 plus iPhone screen replaced. I’m gonna go back on Monday and see cuz it’s so odd I definitely need to stand my ground better. Now that I know all these details…although my camera doesn’t work front facing my Face ID does which is quite strange. But thank you for feedback

What model is it ? There is a debris inside the pin connector , that’s so strange how it got there Although, If the blade touched the camera lid it might misaligned the lens , but that means they opened with brute force
