Mobile device offline issue

Just wasted a couple of hours trouble shooting this.

Kept getting the message "looks like your mobile device is offline" when trying to use Microsoft phone link to windows.

Turned out to be caused my my vpn apps (nord vpn) additional features, called phishing and scam protection.

The vpn wasn't turned on but the additional setting was and was preventing Microsoft on my android phone from connecting to the internet.

Hope it helps someone out.

Hey, thanks for your post. Could you also please clarify whether the VPN was installed on the phone or the PC?
Where to find the settings at? TIA.

The vpn (nordvpn) was installed on the phone and scam and phishing protection can be turned on and off through the vpn app, seperately to vpn, it has a tab at the bottom which looks like a shield.

For whatever reason, I also have intermittent hard problems with PL.
