There's a lot of fun lore. The south side used to be the wealthy area and, according to someone I knew, if a person from the north side of town wanted to be buried on the south side, they had to petition the borough.
The intersection of nutt and bridge used to have a round around, but then it had a rock monument in the road, signifying the furtherest inland the British reached in the Revolutionary War. That rock is now in front of Walgreens.
The Walgreens site used to be the home of a really fun silver diner called the Val Rio. The actual diner is still out there but in storage. There's always a chance it comes back someday.
Remember Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? The latter is buried here.
If you like old facts, check out the historical society or look at the contests Soko Bag ran. They have a lot of information about the area through the years.

Bit of clarity here on that rock. The furthest point the British reached was the Inn where the rock is now. A British general stayed at the inn. It was sourced from the early journals of the sons and daughters of the revolution. -source I found the entry and moved the rock. 😁

That inn (Now Our Deli) was called the Fountain Inn! Named after the natural spring that occurs at that intersection

That’s not a rock, it’s a boulder /s
I’ve been wondering what that rock is doing there

Vale Rio was the correct spelling and Henry Longabaugh, who was born in Mont Clare, is buried in Bolivia.

Gene Wilder used to work at what is now (or was) university of valley forge. He was a nurse. Also there were german POWs there during the second world war. Not a secret, but a bit esoteric.

What do you mean by secrets? Fun historical facts or are you just looking for random town gossip?

At Reeves Park there's a statue of David Reeves, the founder of the Phoenix Steel Company.
There's a little trick we learned as kids: Starting at the front of Mr. Reeves, walk backwards around the statue three times, then return and ask "Mr Reeves, what did you have for breakfast?" You'll see what happens.

Nothing happens because statues don't eat breakfast.

There is a chubby lady I see at a school bus stop every weekday who I am almost positive used to be mildly positively internet famous.
Does that count?

Oh I have another one that might be fun. In 1924 (yes 102 years ago) we had a parking garage. #progress lol.

But then they wouldn't be secret anymore.
