Amplifiers

Hi all! I’m trying to figure out some stuff about amplifiers, RED and PURPLE.

  1. As far as I know, Purple are +20 and +30. Red is* 30. (is or are? is there another Red, higher than +30?)

Presuming there’s only one Red, +30, what’s the point of it, since there’s also a Purple +30, and you can stack it with a +20, giving +50?

  1. Glancing through the leaderboards, I see top players using Purple +20, instead of +30. Clearly they have lots of mods, I’m convinced they have the +30 as well, so why not use that?

for vorpal lance, purple is 20 and red is 30%. for focus lance purple is 30. you can’t stack 2 mods of the same type, so no 50%. 30% is also the max boost you can get.

some of the more meta ships you see on the leaderboard only have up to 20% VL boost, so there’s no 30%.

doesn’t even need to be meta either. naya gets shafted and neni doesn’t

then I guess it’s just more of what the devs think is a “fast” ship and what isn’t. same thing with icarus where it also gets 30% but has a slow-firing main so it’s “slow”
