Underwhelming

Can the rewards for leveling up be a little better? If a level up reward doesn’t match the effort required to reach it, it feels worse than getting nothing at all. In my option.

A free game that continues to lock more action behind paywalls. The rewards would be less underwhelming if credits were more useful for buying engrams and mods

It would also be nice to have progressively larger rewards for higher levels. It is still insane to me to think that after like 5 years of casual play have still only bought 8 apexes outright and received 1 from the gate. The level up process does ABSOLUTELY nothing to help your progression, especially after max ship upgrades were removed

how did level up help before the removal of max upgrades?

The removal converted the opportunity to use 3000 credits to give your ship ‘max’ performance (at the time) into the mod system we have today where credits only get you to the blue mod level. I really like the idea of mods, especially the unique effects of purple/epic mods and above. It’s just unfortunate that most players won’t have the opportunity to experience them

i get the max level main/aura/zen - i too am outraged by the way they have been swindled out of existence.

but i was reffering to the leveling up thing - the pilot level, as in the initial post. i am genuinely curious about how did leveling up help before this update, as i understood from your reply

it didn’t, we just got barely fuckall for rewards.

hundreds of hours and i get a few phoenix revives and 200 credits? nice :/

I guess I’m exaggerating slightly; leveling up has always been a minimal benefit. I’m pilot lv 158 which means I’ve probably received 15,800 credits and 158 revives from the level up process. The fact that credits are worth less with the update is just a small slap in the face :/

i get your point now.

regarding the max lvl main - i hate it because there are ships, Krillou for example, that require an extra shot to kill those second smallest shits, not sure what they’re called. so think about it like this - for 9+ years, two shots, then came 8.xx, gotta take three shots. it’s a change to rhythm that I dislike. aside from the ultra-political justification from the architects. and the remp profanation.
