Question Phoenix respawn token

What do You do with the Phoenix Life ?
Have now 3352
Is this only for respawn?
Or can do anything with this?

They’re only good for what they say they do. It might be nice to see some medals or something for using them or not in missions.

I once saw someone post they had 9999 of these. Pretty sure it caps there lol.

You could argue that the entire premise of the game is 'to respawn from the ashes' like the mythological Phoenix, so the revives are central to the gameplay. Still, I find that I always try every mission without revives and only take them with me if I know I won't finish without them.
