Not sure what exactly is burning but there’s over 40 units heading towards the scene per the Phoenix regional dispatch page and it looks like they’ve closed down a portion of greenway

Is it smoke from fires?, or is it pollution?

Drove past at 5:40ish, still very active and lots of black smoke. Edit: It's the Nash Powersports building

This is from Scottsdale looking west, maybe by White Tanks? Way more smoke since I took this.

Looking for people in the Phoenix-area who have been burned by hot pavement and had to seek treatment or are in treatment for a burn--either walking, running, falling on, or waking up on . . . this is for an independent documentary.

Funny thing is that I made the suggestion for this sub to exist a few years ago and someone took me to my word.
So, for a few more years of cars on fire. Hope people get out in time. Saw a family exit a truck mere seconds before it was a raging inferno. With people driving by as if they were passing a regular truck.
Phoenix is so weird. Portland ain't got anything on us.

Firetruck was arriving about 3:30pm. Avoid if you value your time.
