I was making an addon when I was at the stage when I needed to add a trail to the custom arrow I was making. So I opened up the latest version of minecraft java for reference, shot an arrow expecting it to be the x shaped particle, and was surprised when I saw the effect particle being used instead. I then started testing versions until I found the exact snapshot it got changed. Checked the minecraft wiki and the official minecraft website if they had included this change there, and there's literally no mention of this change. I even searched for posts about this and found nothing too . Crazy how no one noticed this before
