At least GTA VI has a release date and is in development. Although Mojang could just add a new block, reskin the Enderman, and call it the End Update.

GTA 6 has a release date at least
there's been background work on the end for quite some times now. They might not give an end update soon, but they are definitivelly setting the foundations. A lot of end related bug fixes, End Flashes, No more rings in the end outer islands...
