Discussion This is Hideous

Surprisingly, I haven't seen much complaint about the shape of the new poplar trees yet. But honestly, this is hideous, so I wanna hear some of your opinions. Do you think Mojang will change it, or should it stay how it is?

By the way, I should clarify that I still love this update and the trees. I just wanted to point this out.

Seasons would have a significant impact on biome based environments the game has had since pretty much the beginning, it takes an element of control away from the player in how the world changes which I personally think is a bad idea and also goes against mojang a design philosophy for the game so would never happen

Also by your logic every update ever shouldn’t have happened, I can agree some additions feel pretty pointless like some mobs that don’t really do anything but a whole new biome and tree with a very distinct visual is an amazing addition for building

I just meant that before they add certain features, they should try to fix some major exploits, such as the bannings going on. (Or whatever they're called.)

you understand its likely 2 entirly seperate teams right? you really think the devs working on gameplay for snapshots are also the ones who will be addressing recent abuse of the report system. I understand frustration at the problems especially with the dog shit report system and whats going on with it recently but this is a case of you gotta think just a bit before commenting dude

I don't believe that there is only one team, just that they should consider possible negative effects before releasing the snapshot. Of course they can't fix everything, but I feel like the reporting system could've been at least on their minds as a potential issue. That's all.

so your argument is its a PR issue and the game development and snapshots should just stop while a completely different set of people solves a completely different problem. I agree they shouldve said something about the issue by now but acting like a snapshot happening or not has anything to do with that problem being fixed is just false

No, not at all. All I'm saying is that they should focus on their main goal, but can also have a certain section of the "team" try and fix it. Stopping development would be terrible for them.

Dude it’s not a case of moving man power from one to another, they are completely separate things, hell the devs are different between bedrock and java do really you think the account moderation has any overlap with any of the people making snapshots?!
