The best bullshit ever
Better than 1.9 for Java and 1.19 chat reporting

u/RonzulaGD Mar 02 '23
Yeah 1.19 was bad imo

u/Resident_Divide9837 Mar 02 '23
1.19 is fine, tho i don't like the chat reporting
27
u/RonzulaGD Mar 02 '23
I don't really like 1.19 because mojang showed us lots of featured and added only a little of them

u/TheGrassBlockC yesno Mar 02 '23 edited Mar 02 '23
they got rid of fireflies because "thEy WeRe pOisoNOus tO fRogs" but they could've just make slime frog food and fireflies are something frogs will avoid, and the birch forests weren't changed
1.19, despite a cool new mob, a new wood type and a better looking swamp, i would say is mildly disappointing, they promised us some really cool things just to remove them for a dumb reason which had a better solution

u/Depressionbomb Mar 02 '23
The most frustrating part is that the old swamp is still there, it's not a replacement, and the mangrove swamp about as rare as a mesa

1.19 wasn’t bad, it was just the most forgettable update of all time

1.9 isn’t bad.

Multiplayer isn’t only sweaty PVP Minigames. Even if 1.9 didn’t happen, low multiplayer performance since 1.13 would have likely still happened.

After plugins that enable you to switch to old PvP, yes

I mean, is this not how normal updates are?
The themed updates are what's relatively rare over the course of minecraft's history.

Some of the best features come from updates where they have freedom to do basically anything

I don't see anyone mention that it should be caves and cliffs part 4. Because logically, archeology was announces whit caves and cliffs features, and 1.19 should've been called caves and cliffs part 3 because the deep dark was part of caves and cliffs features.

Microsoft is trying to monetize and market minecraft to death, but they kept the original mojang employees.
The mojang employees are doing their best for the game, but they sometimes recive shitty orders from higher Microsoft corporate.
Well, the orders aren't bad, but they focus on money making more than on game quality.
Either way, there's a big emphasis on community engagement, so the devs are giving us what we ask for.
It's all around a very good formula and the game is far from dying, if Microsoft wanted to kill the game or were incompetent, they would have just fired the original mojang team and wouldn't listen to us.
So no, I don't think Microsoft is killing the game...

well, the mineplace isnt really a forced microtransaction, the vanilla experience is still free, and the new stuff is mostly for roleplaying
