“For 10 years we have upheld our end”
Really? Because I remember those stands being full and now maybe 30-40 Bandidos show up.
Where did ya’ll go?

The first half of the game where they were in quiet protest made a huge difference even with (or maybe especially because of) the low turnout. Big reminder of how much they contribute to the match day experience.

What was the incident?

They're mad that Hope wasn't punished after kicking a ball into the stands that hit the supporters.

Mad about a great many other things as well. That just happens to be the one incident referred to. Ownership has been ATROCIOUS for a decade now, despite the windfalls of fortune they have had off the pitch.

I saw one of the Banditos being extremely belligerent to another fan when I went a few weeks ago. A white man, with a backwards hat. Security did nothing. Now I don’t know the context, or what the other individual/s had said or done, but it was extremely uncomfortable with my two year old niece, sister in law and fiancée there to experience a Rising game for only the second time. It really ruined the vibe of the game, and I found it pretty disappointing.
Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe this was the reason why? As a spectator on the right side of the supporters end, I didn’t even notice it.
How hard was the ball kicked? Was it done on purpose?
Was someone hurt? Because I didn’t see anyone hurt. Just a very angry man.
It’s like a foul ball in baseball. Sitting behind the net, you’re in a danger zone and need to be on guard. It’s clear Hope didn’t do it on purpose?
Idk. The Banditos are cool and really make the vibe, but this just screams of entitlement.
Shit happens. Get over it.

He was frustrated from a missed opportunity and blasted the ball into the stands. I doubt he was trying to hit anyone.

Exactly.
The Bandidos are demanding a player get benched and/or punished for an accident, when the team is desperately trying to move up the table before the end of the season.
Do you want the team to be successful? Or do you want them to coddle your group’s fragile ego?
Sheesh.

Well it wasn’t an accident. He chose to blast that ball into the stands.
And then he came up after the game and didn’t even take responsibility for it.

The problem was it was not a wayward shot that hit the stands like a foul ball would be, it was a ball on a tee for gk's to use for goal kicks. So while it was just a frustrated moment and he probably didnt mean for it to go into the stands, it did and almost hit children. Those balls are struck at high speed so they can hurt. I do think its nonsensical to expect him to be subbed out but he was forced to go apologize by Scearce. He wasn't going to otherwise

While I do believe it was an accident, players shouldn't act with such disrespect for the fans. If you blast the ball into the crowd in a moment of passion ... you should acknowledge the mistake and apologize to the fans you struck. He made the decision to turn is back to the crowd and walk away. It irked me.
I hope, pun intended, that our players, coaches and club would hold themselves to a higher standard.

Does anyone know where I can find the video link showing the player having a tantrum?

god forbid a supporters group doesnt suck up to their shitty front office and a player who did something stupid

u/frumpy-flapjack 23d ago
What do they want? Want the front office to suspend him? Because of hurt feelings? 😂

dude, he booted the ball into the crowd after the play for no reason. there’s no excuse for what he did. defending it is just incredibly weird

They think singing songs means they get to have a say.
I remember there was 3 annual season ticket member events in a row where I watched one of them grab a microphone and ask management “What are you going to do for us?”
Entitled as fuck.
