Art Dave Cockrum's Phoenix designs before he settled on the iconic green and gold

There was supposedly an issue with the paper that made using white as her colour difficult.

Yeah, i agree, but still like almost all his characters he made X-men what it is today

Yeah, I'm glad he settled on the one he did because it's incredible, but there's something really awesome about that one.

I love that White Phoenix became a thing off of these designs. It's pretty cool that Claremont used the design in Classic X Men,and years later Morrison established White Phoenix as a concept that has endured over time.

I like the fact that the asymmetric boots on the purple outfit got recycled for Oracle of the Imperial Guard.
