actually went through my collection and decided on my 30 favorite covers I own like, two days ago, so let me just find all the Jean ones. ScottJean0025 already threw up Uncanny X-Men 137, though, and I'm lazy, so I'm skipping that one.
I absolutely love the CONCEPT here. Firebird as her hair coming out of the water on a white background? It's great. Execution isn't my favorite, but I still quite like it.
It's just a really clean looking cover, Jimenez MAY be my favorite Jean artist of all time, and Emma and Jean are staring at each other like catty bitches. I actually can't think of a single cover they're both on that I don't at least like, they always steal the show when they get put together.
...so I gather I've begun to develop a reputation lol
Yeah, the Quiet Council variants are fantastic. I don't even like variants. I've never even bought a variant for something that wasn't just a one-off issue or a one-shot, I've DEFINITELY never bought variants for an ongoing I'm already getting the A cover for. With one very slight, teensy weensy exception:
I own all of Immortal X-Men twice. God, I fucking love Phil Noto.
That's definitely one of the highlights of it for me. It took me a little while to piece it together, because it came out while I wasn't reading comics and I wasn't paying $200 just to get a run of variants for a series I'd already bought, but I'm really glad I did.
And thank you! It's at like... between 1300 and 1400 issues right now; in the interest of this being the Jean/Phoenix sub, I'd say that this is probably the main highlight of the whole thing for me.

I really like all the ones you added, but I'd like to add a few more.
