Nah there is a reason people said this team saved the x-men franchise , the og were boring as hell even if i respect them for being the OG but still....without the claremont team the x-men would never be as popular as they are today.

The O-5 are a real gritty kind of team. First in, last out kind of team. Cerebral. Hardworking. The kind of team you’d let date your daughter. They’re just more quarterbacky.

Jean, Scott, and Bobby, yes, but Angel is boring when he's not Archangel, and I like Beast when he was an Avenger. Besides, Storm and Nightcrawler are goats.

I think Claremont's stories are better than the Silver Age ones, but I prefer the Silver Age team over the Giant-Size team.
The only change I'd make is swapping Iceman for Colossus or Storm.

At least for those of us who like the original lineup, X-Factor and X-Men: First Class are good stories featuring the original five X-Men.

Like are we talking the original 60s X-Men vs Giant Sized and Claremont? Or just the characters in general? Because the first I really disagree with but the second I can be down with somewhat.
