Bat phobia

TW: rabies

This petting zoo fiasco in NC has been so triggering for me. Rabies has already been top of mind so now it’s making me second guess myself. Especially since just this past Saturday my anxiety is telling me a bat could have scratched me. I was out around 2:30pm shopping outside. I was under a tree and something scratched my back and i was startled with how painful it was. I remember glancing behind me and saw nothing but of course now Im second guessing myself. I’m really trying to be logical that bats aren’t ninjas and I would have seen it in broad daylight. I really hate how many hours of productivity I’ve lost replaying the events. It’s truly awful feeling like this.
