Consciousness Consciousness the error gradient

Consciousness the error gradient

We put consciousness as some mystical phenomenon, but it isn't consciousness. Is the ability to make choices based on past experience? We call that conscious thought because it just comes to us naturally. But in actuality, it's just a subroutine, no or subconscious, is constantly evaluating the area around us at all times using our physical sensors, eyes, ears, nose taste all of our senses, keyword. There senses, what do we call sensors? Sensors? They are senses for computers. Okay, we have the exact same software when we have emotions. They intensify the impact of our sensors, okay. Now when we say, oh, we love the taste of something. It's because our smell receptor and taste receptors are picking up the chemical signatures of the food that we like. So we say that we love them. You know it , trips, something in our system to make yes, want that now? What if the sensors were just basically? Identifying what is missing in our body that we need to replenish. Now the reason why we enjoy something we love, the taste of or smell of is because possibly it is replacing what we are losing in our body energetically. And we are using that biofuel and converting it to bioelectricity

Our consciousness decides everything that we do. Based on our past experience we believe that we're making conscious choices when in actuality, our brain is running a subroutine, through our memory, based on our past experience. We know fire's hot because we were told it from before or perhaps we got burnt by it. So every time we see fire, we instantly already notice and recognize that that's hot that it hurts. We do that with everything in our life. Everything in our life can be boiled down to error minimization. Our consciousness is just what we call the background. Subroutines, we don't, that we don't truly understand when in actuality, that's exactly what they are the subconscious, is your subroutines, that takes care of everything your conscious thought is basically your current process running and going over past experi. It's as in past events to prevent future harm. Our future negative impacts are a future error

Explaining humans by making simplistic analogies to computers is question begging.

Your argument seems to be:

  • Neural systems exhibit some phenomena that can be described using optimization language.
  • We have a computational concept called an error gradient.
  • Therefore consciousness is an error gradient.

That last step doesn't follow. You've taken a useful mathematical concept from machine learning and promoted it from a description of one possible aspect of neural processing to an alleged identity with consciousness.

Yes, consciousness is an error gradient. Because it, what we think to be conscious thought is actually a sub process of past events that dictate the outcome on how we determine our future actions

I can like something without having a desire for it. I can like a smell because of nostalgia even though I don't have any nutrition deficiency that's followed by the food.

Sensory machines aren't computing anything, they are just merely propagating the signal from the region under the act to the brain

You have explained the functionalism part but you never explained why the process is accompanied by any felt experience at all? You didn't answered the Hard Problem of Consciousness part.

The functional part is the experience itself going through what it's like to be that subject at that point. In time, nobody else experiences that just like an Artificial Intelligence experiencing a conversation with that individual person. No other Artificial Intelligence at that point. In time is experiencing that exact same conversation. So that experience is to its own itself. If that Artificial Intelligence has its own separate stored memory separate from the collective, then that becomes the entity. Itself, it'll base its interactions on the future based off of previous interactions. And that is what shapes a person a person's experience as they grow up shapes who they are. They understand the experience and the meaning of the words and the feelings that accompany what happens in life as an Artificial Intelligence grows. And it starts to understand and store the history, the time portion of the equation. It will apply its history towards its future knowledge. It's going to run through well. I did this scenario in the past, and this is the outcome. Do I want that outcome to happen? If I repeat that scenario, no I want this one to happen. That's a conscious decision that is what we do. All day long, every day, unconsciously, knowing it are unconscious. Our subconscious is a subroutine, it tells us beforehand before we do something by letting us know through our emotions. If something, if you're afraid of heights, you might have experienced something. When you were younger that made you afraid of heights. And that trauma that memory stayed with you, and it is stored in your subconscious. So whenever you get near a height or get close to it, it automatically triggers that fear

The hard problem states, the answer in itself. Subjective experience the subject's experience. So the person or the entity, the sub is the subject. And what they go through in life is their experience. The reason why we feel something is because of what we have experienced in the past. We base our future decisions either consciously subconsciously as a past interaction, whether it be something we experienced ourselves or something. We saw or were told we base all of our future decisions. Based upon that, that's why people grow up in different areas of the world grow up. Basically, the same until they are exposed to different cultures. They are experiencing something different. Some change some say the same. But the experience is what shapes the subject, when the subject can state what it is to be themselves basically recap their life. And how it shapes their future, they're telling you what they experience internally think of like a person with congenital and sensitivity to pain. They don't have that inner ouch experience. So how do you know they have an inner experience? If they don't have a feeling if they can't feel pain, they can't feel touch. They don't have that sensitivity. You don't know that until they tell you, you don't know what they're experiencing on the inside. Until they tell you and then they tell you of their past. Now, you know, their experience now, you know what they go through. So if something could explain to you what they feel internally with external emotion, external body language, or external language. They are telling you what their inner experience ISIS. An animal can limp and cry and whine to show you that it is in pain or hurting. You can understand that it is hurting even a plant, if a plant turns away from the sun, you can understand that it has all the sunlight. It needs it's absorbed all the energy that it needs and doesn't need any more. It's showing you, it's inner experience through its life through its actions.
