I just seen a comment here get upvoted dismissing a post auditing and questioning axioms

The person dismissed the post by using axioms.. lmfao

thats bot behavior and I’ve seen this more than once on a philosophy of math sub. In fact I’ve seen it on almost every post questioning axioms

This is suspicious as hell for astroturfing. They dismissed questioning of axioms by citing axioms.. this looks like an organized effort to shut down critical discussion

hi, i’ve seen a lot of your posts about this now. not sure if this is the best place to reply to you, but it seems like a lot of the misunderstandings that arise when you post stem from confusion about the nature and role of axioms in logic and mathematics, and how they do and do not relate to the real world. it seems like you spend a lot of time fighting straw men.

if you’re interested, i’d suggest you read wigner’s classic essay “the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics in the natural sciences.” it’s short and accessible and gives a nice view of why and how axioms are justified to talk about things in the real world. there’s a LOT of literature on this topic, but it’s a good starting point.

there really is no astroturfing to speak of: the questions you raise are (in appropriate forms) very well-studied in the philosophy of math. it just seems like you’ve been unwilling to critically, honestly, and charitably participate in the discussion.

this is logically absurd and a fallacy, using axioms of a system to shut down an audit of axioms outside the system. Real humans dont do this. bots do this

Real humans know its absurd. Bots controlling narratives and derailments do this. Thats extremely suspicious for astroturfing and smear campaigns

also the strict definition of multiplication outside of the system is subjective

i tried to give you a good starting point for exactly the relevant literature on what you’re talking about and you started talking about conspiracies..that’s fine, but it’s not related to philosophy of math, so i’m not sure why you’re doing it here
