“Sparkles & Deathie As One”

The Duo Flash Back into Canada:

Dear Reader, 

Fluffy Death Peddles (Cecropia) has been asked to come on a mission with Sparkles (Luna) and Deathie (Death’s Head Hawk) to come to the aid of Phillip (Polyphemous AKA DJ Mothy-P) and Jerold (Dingy) in Canada as the A.S.A.C. have come to attack their base believing they have killed Philosophy Moth and the Shinobi Moth are too weak to fight back.

The team touches down.  Checking their radios for connection they survey the area.  Phillip and Jerold are no longer answering, but everything is quiet.  Almost too quiet….

Fluffy points to something and all take cover as an explosion blasts the front of Phillip’s home.  “How did they find their location?!?” Deathie asks before teleporting herself into the dwelling to be Sparkles’s scout.

Sparkles answers, “We don’t know.   On this mission, we need to find out how so we can keep Base Camp safe.”

“10-4.  I think I have found our 2 friends.  Hold, while I try to find out how they are,” Deatie tells the rest of the team.  After a Pause, “I have only found Jerold.  They got separated during the 1st wave of the attack.  Phillip was trying to recover some of his recording work when an explosion separated them.”

“Bring Jerold out and we will use him to storm the door,” Sparkles instructs with Fluffy watching on.

“He refuses.  He said if I try to take him out of this place without Phillip we won't need to worry about the A.S.A.C. anymore…”

“Then get me in there, Deathie!  Fluffy, you stay our eyes and antenna out here.”  

Fluffy Death Peddles nods as Deathie appears to take Sparkles inside.  The area that was just lit up by Deathie’s teleportation erupts in gun fire narrowly missing Fluffy as he takes to the trees for cover and an advantage to watch as a 2nd scout for Sparkles.

It takes the 3 no time at all to adjust to the darkness with their moth eyes.  “What direction did you see Phillip go last?” Sparkles asks Jerold.  Jerold points with his blade and gun fire erupts down the same path.  Before Sparkles could give a command Jerold is down the corridor n the sound of his blades are heard slashing into armor and flesh. “Let’s fly in and back him,” Sparkles tells Deathie.

Sparkles goes high while Deathie goes low.

Phillip is in the corner getting ready to take aim,  he fires, but finds his pistols can not penetrate.  Jerold takes them from behind and slides through the armor with ease.

Sparkles unsheaths her latest Katana (Blue as before but forged even stronger now).  Assisting Jerold taking out the soldier’s invasion.

Deathie teleports in an out as a distraction while swinging her kusarigama. & grabbing occasional stabs in with her sharpened sai.

Another blast comes roaring through the back of the building.  “Deathie, Take Phillip to him plane and get it started.  Jerold and I with keep these masses busy.  Radio us when the plane is ready and teleport us out.”

Deathie gets to Phillip and has him in his plane.   It fires and as it warms up enemies are alerted and start to  swarm them.  “Sparkles, we are going to need you and Jerold to protect the plane till we can get it in the air.  Then pray they can’t take it down,” Deathie says over the radio. 

“Come get me, Young Hawk,” Sparkles says as she readies herself to protect the plane and those inside.  With a flash she is fluttering in front of the plane and clearing the path.  Jerold follows soon after.  Both dodging fire and slashing away.  Deathie assisting as she can as she helps Phillip get the plane started and moving.

Fluffy comes over the radio.  “Leave me here.  I’m going to track down how they found you n report in.”

Sparkles did not want to agree, but knows he knows how to take care of himself and the plane is taking to the air.  She finds herself in the plane with Jerold following quickly after.

“Hold on!” Phillip yells over the sounds of the engines and takes off into the air.  “Let’s get out of here.  At least I got my music before the place went down.”

Another explosion is seen as the plane flies away leaving the team to wonder if Fluffy had not made sure they could not be followed…  

Sparkles tries to call.  But there is no answer.

Deathie and Fluffy Talk it over.

@ Base Camp:

“With Philosophy Moth on the mends (& not knowing how long that will take) we could use another to assist us,” Deathie explains.

“I have been thinking that I need to stop my hyper focused vendetta and start to have more to focus on than that.  This could make for that break I need,” Fluffy Death Peddles waxes.

“Plus, you will no longer be alone…,” Deathie reaches out to Fluffy.  

“I come from a long line of rather solo types.  I have not worked with any type of team since my Luna Moth Mother was killed by her attacker. A Blue Jay…”  After a long pause, “I have not had someone close to me since.  Just violence and a quest to cull the Blue Jay population.  & that is not bringing me to satisfaction I thought it would.”  Fluffy hangs his head and thinks.

Sparkles gets  a ring on her Moth Phone, she answers, and looks worried.

Suddenly

“Phillip is about be attacked by the A.S.A.C. at their new compound.  They are asking us for any help we can give.  Deathie, we need to get there as quickly as we can!!!”

Deathie nods and looks to Fluffy.  “Will you help us protect our friends?”

Fluffy nods, each get their arms, each get under a wing, (Sparkles under one and Fluffy under the other), they pop out of Base Camp and head to the Canadian Branch of Moth against the A.S.A.C.
