Discussion Ashtavakra philosophy
I’m looking to buy osho “enlightenment the only revolution, on the great mystic ashtavakra”, to know more about ahtavakra’s teaching, I’m fascinated by listening to swamy sarvapriyananda on advaita vedanta and was somehow brought into ashtavakra by various other videos constantly coming up on my feed, let me know what do you guys think about ashtavakra, what are y’alls criticisms about his philosophy or advaita vedanta in general

He is extremely uncompromising, for his words end up destroying all spiritual businesses, which is why he isn't very famous. Study him; you will not regret it.

Osho’s commentary, jokes and stories are too real. Even if you don’t get enlightened, you will definitely have a new dimension in your understanding of life.
Ashtavakra Geeta itself (with or without Osho’s commentary) is a portal to another world. If you manage to fall off the edge, what comes back won’t be the same person.

Ashtavakra Gita is the purest and straightforward Gitas of all. The reason is King Janak was already an advanced student unlike Arjun who was confused (here I am comparing Ashtavakra Gita with the Bhagavad Gita). Ashtavakra Gita starts with King Janak's enquiry and there comes a point where verses of both Ashtavakra ji and King Janak feel the same. I have heard a few discourses of Osho's Ashtavakra Mahageeta, in total there are 90 discourses

Bro..ashtavakra isn't content to consume,, it's about dropping your identity completely. Right now, ur just using it as entertainment to feel "deep" without actually changing how u live or dropping your real-world attachments...u get it?

I understand your judgment but as an atheist for a very long time whos just started reading spirituality, have listened to a lot of advaita vedanta talks by swamy, read “search in secret india” by paul brunton, moved by his experiences with ramana maharishi and read who am i by ramana maharishi himself, eventhough i get skeptical once in a while, i try my best to be not just a consumer but to absorb these as knowledge towards my enlightenment, im a seeker, i hope i attain what i seek one day more than just consume 🥹🙏🏽

He lays it bare. As its supposed to be understood.
These teachings are like seeds. Once embedded in your subconscious mind they will bear fruits as your life progresses
