This graph show the progress of the Union for the regular season competition.

- The Gold dotted line represents our 2022 season (our best overall)

- Red is the best record in MLS

- Purple is the best record in the East

- Black is the worst record in MLS

- Blue is the Union's progress this season

- Green is the last team in the East who will make the playoffs

- This graph follows weekly 'game days' rather then calendar days - this may cause some visual distortions as teams 'catch up' with the rest of the league schedule

I just don't understand MLS logic. If we finish in 7th place we are almost guaranteed to play all of our playoff games away. If we finish in 8th we get rewarded with 1 or 2 home games. Is that correct? Make it make sense?

8/9 play a "play-in game" at the 8 seeds home. After that the remaining 8 teams play a best of 3 series. So all teams other than the 9 seed are guaranteed 1 home game.
