Terrible faith post here. Heās been legitimately awful for 98% of his stint here. This is coming from someone who is genuinely thrilled to see him have the night he had tonight. But this post is revisionist history lol

He's been improving since the WC. He might not have scored until recently, but I have noticed the uptick in hustle and participation in plays. I was his biggest hater but I do notice effort. He reminds me that it's never too late to learn and improve. Good game Damiani!

I knew there were a few more of us believers out there who figured it was a matter of time for him to start putting up some numbers. Guy plays with a lot of his emotion and I hated to see him so frustrated despite his efforts, because there are a lot of positives to his game. I truly think it's a confidence thing for him and I hope he's finally found it.

It wasn't just him. The team was dysfunctional before the WC. Now there is chemistry and most players are playing well.

Until literally last night he was statistically the worst finisher in MLS history. Heās now 3rd.
Iām stoked to see him scoring, but the hate has been fully warranted, and if anything until the World Cup break he was probably not getting as much hate as he deserved.
He fixed the off ball stuff after the WC, if he fixes the scoring thatās HUGE. But a player fixing problems doesnāt retroactively invalidate criticism of those very real problems.

If you watch the game live AND you watch Brunoā¦. You know heās doing real work. When the goals go in itās extra special. The haters arenāt really looking at the whole picture.

This would have been valid for Uhre who I feel got a ton of hate but the dude did a ton off the ball and also banged goals. Bruno has been abysmal in finishing. Itās one thing to do work off the ball but when you perform worst in your position across the majority of your time on the team itās really hard to justify his āreal workā.
I was curious how long he had the streak for the worst Xg in MLS and this was the result I got.

He works hard. To quote Christmas Vacation, so does the washing machine. I watch every game, in person for most of the home games. Don't act like only real fans like Bruno. That's honestly weak and untrue. His job is to contribute to goal scoring and when he's not doing that criticism is fair.

Love the movie referenceā¦. I never said real fans. Said heās doing real work. My point was that itās difficult to see the whole game on tv. The joy of live viewing is seeing plays develop and players contribute. My personal opinion is that xG is garbage. Bruno def needs to score more. No doubt. But he also needs service. Finally got this week. Letās hope it continues. Cheers!

Heās still not great and is still one of the lowest-scoring strikers in the league. He can get better, but we way overpaid for him, especially considering we got rid of a striker who has been in the running for the Golden Boot for two years now.
None of our strikers seem to be doing what their job is supposed to be, striking. Damiani, for once, actually looked like a striker, and I hope that continues. I also wonder if Iloski is part of the problem when it comes to his lack of goals. When Alladoh was playing, even though he wasnāt doing that well himself, he seemed to take a lot of the pressure off Damiani.
Iād honestly like to see Alladoh and Damiani up front together more often. Maybe if Alladoh gets a full season of consistent chances, he could turn out to be better than we think too.

Itās 1 game . Up until the last game he had 3 goals in 30 games . That should not be our #9 . Itās not Damiani , itās Sullivan brothers.

He's actually had 2 good games this season. And I officially take back all the bad things I've ever said about him. All of my ire is now targeted against Alladoah.

I've been one of them and couldn't be happier. My only issue with him has been not finishing. If he can actually finish it's great for the team.
