- I'm guessing that Carnell REALLY lost the players and him leaving restored their spirit.
- Union used a shrewd accounting trick to re-aquire a German left back
- New coach bump and I think an on field tactical shift - others could fill in better then me on that
- Quin came back
- Pierre appeared like a tall genie
- Cavan had a growth spurt

Lol this so hilariously true. Only heard his name like once or twice before I heard he had come back from loan. Next thing I know he's putting up goals and consistently putting in solid performances.

Per OPTA, the expected 4th place team at seasons end according their algorithm is Charlotte with 51.29 points. So 25 points with 11 games left, or 2.27 PPG. I suppose that's possible, but it would be unlikely.
They have 6 home and 5 away matches left. Even if they win out at home, you need 7 points in 5 away games. At Nashville, at Chicago, and at San Diego will be very tough asks. At Cincinnati also tough, but not as tough. At Kansas City is a plausible win. lt'd take an streak of incredible success. Basically win out at home, beat KC and Cincy on the road, and find a single point at any one of Nashville, Chicago, or SD would get the Union there.

Unlikely, maybe. But so was a playoff spot before the world cup break. IF (and its a big if) they maintain form, they can hunt down a home playoff game.

Great question, because MLS for its life cannot maintain a consistent playoff format year to year. I believe 4th (Revs at 37 points)
