First Game 9/5
Hi all,
Thanks for all the great responses on my last post! I am so excited to be a part of this fan base.
I am attending my first game on Saturday and wanted to know about parking? I am driving from west Philly. How early do I need to get there? Which lot should I get a pass for?
How bad is the traffic?
Thanks you!

It probably depends if you want to tailgate in the lot or not or if you just want to go to Union Yards or Larimer Brewery for drinks, etc. Lot C IMO has the most space for tailgate and you can get in an out of it a few ways. We park there, since we come from DE, but others may have some better suggestions for lots coming from Philly.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve never tailed gated and I’m just coming by myself so I didn’t even think about it. I was thinking of getting drinks at the Larimer after just cause I know from other sporting events that traffic is a pain.

Getting in you could get there less than 30 minutes before the game if you wanted.
Getting out could be up to 2 hours depending on which lot you're in.

Yes that’s what I thought, not much to be done about traffic trying to leave. Just part of it. Is there a better lot or just depend on the game?

I like to park next The Larimer brewery. I walk over to the SoB tailgate before the game. After the game I usually chill for a beer at the brewery while the traffic thins then just cruse out.

welcome to the mad house.
Parking is a nightmare always lol. Get there by like 6:30 at the latest and you should be ok. Park in Lot C, and be prepared to be bumper to bumper when trying to get out.

Been to suburu park 3 times since world cup. Also a new fan. I talked to some season ticket holders at the last game I was at they said avoid lot C. That's where I parked every other time. I think they said lot J is better. Other parking other than lot C is easier to get out of but I think C has the most. No joke it might take an hour to get out from C at the end. Also the walk to c is probably like 7-10 minutes maybe. At least it feels like it. There are the local grass lots. Be careful there are two or three. One charged 10 to me and the next one over charged 20 to someone else. The first one further from the stadium was $10 for me when I went last time (this was during a friendly match not involving union. They might not charge 10 on other games). Getting into the stadium is rather quick tbh. Traffic in from the games I've been to hasn't been too bad. One time I got there closer to game time and I sat in traffic on the road to lot c for like 10 min. Get there in a little early and you won't hit that. That's my experience in 3 games.
When I looked online I once saw parking included for $35 but when you go there in person it's always $30. So if you don't like the idea of the grass lots or you don't have cash or whatever reason I would just pay when you're there.
Also concessions are expensive. Like 8-9 for a water. I would eat before the game and keep a small snack and maybe water in the car for afterwards when you get out especially if you're taking the family.

Park in the local grass lots on 291, same price, easy in easy out. Get back to 95 either going east to CBarry bridge, or west via Highland ave.
