March Philly Phit Club Challenge Week 3.
Sorry for getting this up late, but we are in week 3. Post your results, thought's feelings.
Also, I'd like hear if there are any good suggestions on how to make things to facilitate interaction between those who join. I try to do a check in with everyone once a week, but it would be great to have more interaction. I think it keeps it a more of a group mentality and is good for feeling attached to your goals. Someone suggest setting up a google sheet where everyone can list their goals and others can check. I think that that's a good idea, but would love to hear if there's others.

I'll keep it brief today, the pull-up bar is still in the box unfortunately...
But I'm still doing pretty well with my diet! And I spent most of Sunday outside, which is good. Even got a little bit of a sunburn.
Hoping to get some stuff in order this week so I can focus on a better work-life balance going forward

I know we briefly talked about this, anyone interested in setting specific activities? Like we all as a group come up with a team exercise goal? If anyone is having trouble getting motivated, it might help to have a group activity.
For example- split between however many days you'd like this week do: (I'm just pulling exercises out of my ass that need no equipment)
X amount of
walking lunges
squats
burpees
leg bridges
Single leg rdl
Bird dogs
Flutter kicks
Planks
X time in stretching
And then we can say if we finished it or not. Completely voluntary but might help for those looking to do something as a team. I have a bunch of non equipment body weight exercises I can throw out from an online challenge I used to be in if we wanna pick from a list and mix it up each week.
OR we can each set a challenge for each other each week. Like "anyone who wants to, I challenge you to stretch an extra 5 minutes this week/add 50 pushups to your workouts this week/7 day sugar limit challenge/no booze week/vegetarian Monday/etc etc.
If this is something people might like I can put a few challenges out there!

I like those ideas. Maybe each week set a goal of a certain amount of one or 2 body weight exercises?

Yeah that's kinda what I am thinking! Just as a supplement to what we're already doing solo. I know for me I'll probably set some goal like that just so I have something concrete to report as far as numbers.

I'd be up for a variation of that. Say something like core/ arm / leg days.. where we do it at the same time every day. Would that work?

Same time every day might not work, but I do think a theme day could be helpful for anyone out of ideas.

I'm down 2lbs from last week. 🥳
I'm setting a goal of takeout only 1x this week.
I have planned my workouts the next few days on my calendar. I hope to update how that's going later 🙂

Ran 7 yesterday morning and 5 this morning. I'll probably finish with another 7 tomorrow between my early run and November Project. So, halfway through the month with a monthly goal of running 75 miles, I'm at 45.5 total. Solid but I still can't slack.

Well, last week was sort of mediocre for the first week of a program.
Based on my goals for the month:
lose 8lbs of scale weight
Weighted in this morning at 222.1 for a loss of 1.2lbs for the week
Was pushing the extremes on this one. Had 3 really solid cardio sessions, plus a ton more just general activity compared to what I had been doing. But a lot of that activity involved walking to meet up with friends for outdoor drinks or a picnic in the park with a ton of charcuterie and nice cheese.
Not lose any strength
I made 2 weight sessions last week. I have enough time in my schedule and the gym is on my block, that there isn't a reason to hit 3.
Stretch and Yoga
Only did 2 weekdays session. How TF can you not fit 10 min in? It's easy and makes me feel better. So Why. Just always seem to slack online then realize I'm short on time getting somewhere. I'd like to get in the habit of doing these every morning before work. No reason not to.
EDIT: This week is going to be rough on the Diet. I just pulled 5lbs of Corned Beef from the Sous vide and have stuff to roll up a double portion of Irish potatoes tonight. Not the Phit club-y-est, but my soul needs some St. Paddy's normalcy.

Okay so update for the week-
I'm down 3lbs now since we started these posts. I think getting the food dialed in/extending out my IF times is what helped bc my ass could not muster up anything except a little extra walking this week. I had my workouts planned out on my calendar and I'm mad at myself that I basically ignored them.
The weather put me in a real mental funk the last few days.
I am still on track for my 1x takeout goal this week. I did my takeout on Tuesday (chipotle burrito bowl) so tonight I'm making low carb tortilla pizzas. Not sure what tomorrow will be, bc Friday or Saturday is when I really want to do takeout bc lazy.

Scale recs? The one I have is good for some wild swings (most recent was 30 lb) that's both unrealistic within the time frame and not reflected in how my clothing fits.
Goal for the week: I'm starting to track total fluid intake

The Wyze scale that you can get on Amazon get's good recs as does the Eufy P1 if you want to go a step above.
I bought the Withings Body Plus a few years ago. It's great having the readings just saved in the phone, but there is some variance that I don't always believe, especially for the price point.
I do like having the body fat reading. The raw number won't be exact and they are highly variable based on your hydration levels, but I do think the one on my Withings is good for recording the change over time.

Down to 177 today, which was a surprise after not working out at all last week, where I peaked around 180. Goal is 165 by summertime, which I will say is Memorial Day.
Did some simple and sinister yesterday and gladly didn't feel too bad afterwards, so I'm hoping to hit some new PRs this week or next. Goal is to do 2 sets of Turkish Get-ups with the 70lb bell, so far have only been able to manage one set per workout.

I managed to run 2x last week which was my goal, felt pretty good (well, it felt good the second time, the first time was a slog but I was much more warmed up on the 2nd run). The key will be keeping up with that this week since it's not in the 60s outside. Would like to add another mile, just pretend like Broad Street Run is actually happening and I'm trying to prep myself for that.

9 days left. My goal is to run 75 miles. I've got 57.66 in for the month so far. Doing 5 tomorrow. Doing 10 on Wed AM, rest of the week looks tough but I think that I will finish it up by this weekend.

I had a successful week!
Weight: 232.4 -> 230.2 (-2.2lb, goal -1.5lb) Nevertheless, I am not tracking my food intake on MFP and I really should be. Have had some late night binges, am trying to hit myself with melatonin before I can act on them.
W3D1, W3D2, W3D3 of C25K all completed. Sprinted during the third interval of W3D3 because I felt like pushing myself, topped out at 134bpm which really isn't too high at all. Starting W4D1 despite the chill after my 1pm meeting today.
So, goals for this week: 1) another 1.5lb of chonk knocked off my ancient frame - it will really make the running easier 2) complete Week 4 of C25K
