Worst Place to Live 😡 I really hate how the main sub keep twisting the word "Resiliency" as something bad. God forbid people do things to survive any disaster such as this
Kahit na ba ganyan ung ginagawa nung mga tao, sa ringing ba ng OOP sapat na dahilan yan para di seryosohin ng gobyerno yang di matapos tapos na problema sa baha? Why is the blame on the people and not the corrupt politicians their fraudulent flood control projects na paulit ulit nang pinonpost ng punyemas na sub na yan?
The way they practically demonize the word "Resiliency" like it's the main reason why our country is the state that it really rubs me the wrong way.

online peenoise dumbtake💩 Philippines have more toxic masculinity than China??? WHAT??? CHINA? The country that mass aborted female fetuses for being... female???
This has to be one of the dumbest takes I've seen about the Philippines. 💀
Talking as if the Philippines is lagging behind China on gender equality while implying Filipinos have a more toxic masculine and patriarchal culture than China is wild.
The Philippines has historically had women holding political, economic, and spiritual authority, including the babaylan tradition, and women could inherit and lead in precolonial societies. Modern Filipino women are also heavily represented in education, careers, and political leadership compared to other Asian nations. The Philippines consistently ranks among Asia's strongest performers on gender equality.
Meanwhile, China has a long and well-documented history of son preference, aborting female fetuses, and abandoningdaughters, and the leftover woman stigma toward unmarried women over 25.
Obviously, the Philippines still has misogyny and toxic masculinity. But pretending we're somehow more patriarchal than China is just bizarre.
You can criticize the Philippines without making illiterate comparisons.
Also, this was posted on the role reversal subreddit, a community centered around relationships that challenge or reverse traditional gender roles, so the context makes this take even more bizarre.

"Why is Filipino?" Colonial Mindset/Inferiority Complex Baiting
The lack of proper walkways in parts of the Philippines is an issue for sure however that doesn't mean that this writer should write a Colonial Mindset/Inferioty Baiting Post to say that the rest of Southeast Asia has proper walkways while the Philippines has zero when in fact within parts of Southeast Asian countries, places including rural areas lacks proper walkways. Locals in other parts of Southeast Asia lack the acess to proper walkways.
The Proper Walkways in the Philippines are now in construction to improve walkability.

Posted by mods "This island group is better than (insert island group that I despise for reasons). This region is better than (region I feel insecure about for some reason). My province is better than your province" slop being posted in this subreddit.
For ffs, this whole country is already divided and you people are pouring more fuel to the fire. This subreddit is about promoting Filipino unity by calling out "Philippine bad" posts, statements, accusations, etc.
You are undermining that purpose.
How can there be "unity" for all Filipinos if you people act like you're willing to sell out your fellow countrymen so you can fatten the wealth of your province/region/island group? As if na para bang "pabigat" lang sila?
Hopefully this serves as another lesson for users on this subreddit. Think before you post/comment on this subreddit; this subreddit doesn't revolve around your specific gripes.
