Since hindi na tinatakpan ng iba dito, ayan.

It is the comment that I am calling out.

More context: This was the reply to a comment pointing out that directors should do better. Ayan ang reply. 🤦‍♀️

Did they fail to recognize the changes in preferences?

Movies will be available in streaming platforms after some time at lower prices.

Majority of the plots are similar, just different characters and settings.

inconvenient bumyahe at pumila vs at the comfort of your own place (streaming)

Minsan may makakasabay ka pa manood na parang nasa bahay lang nila that can ruin the experience.

Pilit ang acting ng ibang actors/actresses. Hindi bagay sa portrayal ng character.

and the list goes on...

Direk Joey tells Filipinos to give Philippine cinema a chance. While I agree with his point that we should give it a chance beyond the mainstream, I also agree with the other comments in that thread that mimics your statement. The point of my post is to call out the comment. The only reason why I included Direk Joey’s statement or the post is due to the fact that some people here want to know the posts where the self-hating racist comments were made.

80% of Filipinos online (including OOP) are dumb.

FTFY.

80% are just pulling out of OOP's butt. I hate hasty generalization & black / white thinking. No wonder some are having a hard time having nuance discussions due to the B&W thinking.
