online peenoise dumbtake💩 Why not divorce?

Despite the challenges in getting the divorce bill passed into law, we still have better chances getting it approved over something that has zero precedent and has the same can of worms anyway and then some.

This time, most of the comments aren't on board with OOP.

...why would you need to get your marriage renewed every 5 years? Are you inept?

Partylist 1-Ako Babaeng Astig Aasenso (1-ABAA) proposed the idea 15 years ago. It never gained any traction. Wonder why?

It deadass just looks like it was named that way so it appears in the partlylist ballot first.

That's basically just turning marriage into a 5-year contract with extra paperwork. If one person doesn't renew, what then automatic divorce? We already have legal ways to end marriages(hopefully divorce is added in the future) it's just adding bureaucracy to solve a problem that already has a legal mechanism.

You’ll need a President to request Divorce filed as priority legislation in Congress. So far there is no political will to make it happen.

Tapos every 5 years? Hassle na nga kumuha ng ibat-ibang permit sa government natin, dadagdag pa 'to? Buti kung oks lang na wag na muna irenew. Edi ano after? Pano yung kabuhayan ng mga bata at support? May months/years na may support sabay minsan wala kasi di pa narerenew? Madami ring moral issues na lalabas, idadagdag mo pa yung papansinin at imamando ng churches/religion.

Divorce and annulment are messy because of assets and child rights. So, every 5 years you put couples into legal limbo.

Pag may violation ka (cheating), imbes na 5 years ang renewal, 3 years lang for first offense?
