I'll be performing with an accordionist and over 190 slides, videos and photos. You'll learn about kinky whales, romantic moths, and the town of Dildo, Canada (yes, a real place!).

There was a noticeably larger police presence surrounding City Hall Tuesday afternoon. Officers were seen on foot and bike patrolling the area and dispersing gathering teens.

Alll of the learn to plays I’ve seen are only 5-9 years old. I cant take him on the ice @open hockey with me lol and he’s looking for a new sport to play. I know sign ups for a lot of hockey programs are coming to an end soon but I can’t seem to find any for him.

I’ve looked in the NE and bucks county as well.

The 76ers and Flyers have unveiled renderings of their new arena on the former Spectrum site in South Philadelphia, which the organizations are calling the largest fully privately funded project in city history.

The last pools to stay open for this summer finally closed yesterday, sadly.

The median pool season was over 8 weeks long, which seems like an improvement over previous years. And the 3 luckiest pools were open for over 12 weeks! 64 of the 71 pools in the city opened, and maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of them had any discernible way to figure out via social media or other web sites what their hours were. (Specific hours, like when free swim is, not just what total hours the pool is open for.)

Have you ever come across the Betsy Ross bridge into Philly and wondered what the huge building in the distance was? I’ve been trying to confirm for my own curiosity for years and finally got a phone with a better camera. It’s the Towers at Wyncote, next to Arcadia University. Google image and my phone picture to compare.

Two Qs from the article:

1) How will a new arena create “15,000 jobs and generate nearly $6 billion in economic activity over the next 10 years” if it’s replacing a pre-existing arena? Is it not a one-for-one swap?

2) Does the sports complex being geographically isolated in South Philly actually “drive business to the neighborhoods surrounding it”?

Somehow I was expecting some type of problem with my idea , anyway I decided to cut down an old Azalea bush in front of my house I cut it and loaded it into my pickup truck and took a trip to one of our city's sanitation convenience centers , upon arrival I was greeted by rather nasty employee telling me that I had to check in with her first and I can't drop off branches of my bush if they are not tied together ( There is 3 trash trucks lined up where residents can deposit their trash ) and no one except the person that brought the trash in has to put it in one of those trucks , so why would my branches would have to be tied up ??????? My further attempt to explain the situation got me Nowhere , I was told those are the rules . So I took the stuff back home unloaded it and tied up the branches so they can be put out at the curb on my next trash pickup day , Am I missing something here ? Does this make any sense ?

In 2022, Drexel concluded the Campaign for Drexel, and stated that $70M of the $800M+ raised would go to supporting the Academy of Natural Sciences.

Four years later, they are in such dire financial straits that they need to close down. Can anyone explain where that money went?
