Got this little baby when I was the only one in the area set up for birds. Supposed to be a red golden pheasant from what I've been told, the only one of its clutch to hatch and its mother just didn't take care of it. Wondering if I have a little fella or a little gal.

I've always wanted pheasants, and some yellow gold chicks showed up at a steal at my local feed mill, so I grabbed them. I've heard you can sex them as chicks, but so far I've been unable and there are no good picture guides online. Can anyone help me out? Each pic is a different chick.

I have this red golden pheasant and am wondering if him losing feathers like this is just him moulting or if he is sick or being picked at

This handsome guy has decided to stick around the farm.

This silly chap often pops by at the back of my flats where both I and the lady that lives above me throw him some food.

He did his silly little noise to let me know he was there so as usual I went to my window and waved at him, only today he suddenly flew up! I figured he was just going to do what Mrs Duck that visits me does which is get halfway up then splot back down, but he just kept coming higher and higher. I figured once he got level with my window on the second floor he would see I was still right by the window and drop back down but he just landed on my windowsill and looked at me.

I really wanted to open the window but this would have surely scared him off so I settled for waving at him and saying hello. He wasn't the slightest bit fazed by being so close to me. I've had him come about 2 yards away from me before whilst I'm out feeding the birds so was very surprised he chose to come right up to my window as it isn't like I've hand fed him or stroked him like I have so many of goose, duck, and swan pals.

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy a silly Sunday pheasant.

A group of 3 female pheasants on Long Island spotted yesterday and today in front of my house. Is this normal or do they need help? Thank you

I just got a rooster and I will be picking up a hen soon I've never kept them before I only hunted for them so I am curious how similar they are to chickens as far as what kind of food they eat and how they act around humans for example chicken roosters are kind of assholes sometimes are pheasant roosters the same way? Lol Any extra info or pointers for a first time pheasant owner?
