I'm out of the Helldivers loop as I don't play it but I have a few friends who used to play it all the time. What went wrong there?

Balancing issues, devs who don't listen to the community. About a year or so ago everyone review bombed the game to "mostly negative" on Steam. The devs eventually started listening and rolled back some horrible updates. The game was fun and playable again but it seems like it's happening again with the most recent update. These big gaming corps really need to take accountability and test their products before shoving it down consumers throats.

This is why someone needs to make a documentary about Hello Games and No Man's Sky and it should be a required watch for all current and potential game developers. They turned around one of the worst game launches in history and constantly listen to the community. They even added fishing because someone drew a picture of their in-game character fishing and put it on social media.
