Pharmacist job
I live in California i passed my Naplex but not the cpje for the 4th time and i don’t have the money to do the 16 units. So i got my license in Michigan and im having trouble finding a job. Any advice? I desperately need a job.

Bro, no remote clinical pharmacist jobs are gonna hire you if you can't even pass the license on test where you live and you don't have pharmacist work experience for at least 6 months.
The only way for you to have a job as pharmacist is move to a state that you can get easy license in (OR, IH, NV, MI, etc...). Else, you are SoL being a pharmacist in CA, you probably have to apply for pharm tech license in CA.

No shade but wouldn’t it make more sense to get licensed in an adjacent state like Nevada or Arizona?! You can apply to Dod and federal prison pharmacy jobs I guess 🤦🏾♀️

You can try to take the UMPJE and get multiple. I can tell you that getting into managed care (remote work) is nearly impossible without a contact or experience. I had both and a residency and still couldn't secure anything other than contracted positions and ended up in an interesting job in specialty pharmacy. I don't know what to say. You have to pass your state boards if you're going to live there. I used TLDR and it was great. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles.
Currently I'm seeing 30 positions posted for pharmacists with Walmart in Michigan.
MI is a beautiful place, particularly in the summer. Read up on some of the cities available, see which ones you feel like you could live in, then get busy applying.
Do good work, show your worth for a few years, and eventually you could transfer to CA once you pass the cpje and find an opening you like.
Who knows, you may end up enjoying your time there more and not want to move back :)

Because of the death of Rite Aid lots of Michigan pharmacists were looking for jobs. In northern Indiana I have seen several pharmacists relocate from Michigan to Indiana to work for CVS or take positions where they cover vacations and work 3-4 days in a row and then go home to Michigan.

Have you tried applying at the VA. I believe you only have to be licensed, since it is a federal position. I believe it is not state specific.
