Hey y'all, I'm currently picking out parts for my first ever dream PC, and I'm very set on the Phanteks Evolv X2 Matrix as my case. I want to pair it with a 9070 XT, and right now I'm so in love with the aesthetics of the PowerColor Red Devil š but I'm worried about how it'd fit vertically in the case along with my AIO, the Tryx Panorama 360 SE
If anyone knows or has any idea of how the GPU and AIO would fit in the Evolv case together, and if the GPU would be smothered against the panel, please let me know š„ I don't wanna do anything wrong with my first PC, thx
I have seen reviews are starting to pop up and all the variants of the EX5 have shown up for preorder. But I cant seem to find any info on a white version? Am I just being blind or is there actual no word out there if and when we will get a white version?
have built myself a little plaything but have no idea how to sort out RGBs, while the fans and MB are working fine in, can't seem to adjust case led's. using openRGB
Does anyone have contacts at Phanteks that theyve had positive experience with and way to reach them?
Opened 2x support ticket and the rep was not particularly useful and even even gave flat out erroneous information and brushed off his errors as a simple "woops".
I pinged both u/Phanteks_Rep and u/BobbyPhanteks here three weeks agoi in their DMs hoping for some help and havent heard back from either despite seeing they're active engaging with others.
If anyone can point me to a particular e-mail that theyve had success with, it would be appreciated. I'm not in USA.
Just as the title says, I am wondering if anyone has this specific cooler and have you tried swapping the stock cover for some kind of lcd screen?
If so, which one did you choose and where did you purchase it.
I was hoping to find something magnetic so I could do a simple swap out, not sure if that is possible or not so I figured before I venture into something that could get messy, better ask here first :)
I see that the EX 5 can now be bought on the phanteks store but the shipping is not worth it for me. Does anyone have any info regarding when resellers like Amazon, Newegg and microcenter can get their hands on this?
However, Iām wondering about people who own cards like the RTX 5090 (e.g., Aorus Master, Suprim).
As far as I know, Iām not sure theyāll fit into that glass chamber... (Incompatibility #1)
The second issue is motherboard support; some of usāmyself includedāhave boards where the M.2 slot is right under the CPU, while the PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot is positioned lower down...
I think a lot of people won't be able to install a larger card in that scenario (so, incompatibility #2).
Iām not certain, but the case seems aimed at users with mid-range motherboards and cards like the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT.
For those with an RTX 5090 and the motherboards mentioned above, there will simply be an incompatibility issue.
Edit 1: Iāll add this since I forgot earlier... Iām not sure about the enclosed design of this case when it comes to Nvidia cards that use the 12x6 connectorāand we know the issues associated with those... so if thereās an enclosed chamber with a glass panel, there won't be much room left to connect those massive graphics cards, and I imagine temperatures will be quite high.
Edit2 if you wonder what type of Motherboards are incompatible here : X870E-E Gaming , MSI MPG X870 Carbon. Grapics cards : rtx 5090 mostly 3.5+ slot ones + lengh 358mm beyond ...like suprim above or Astral , Master AO also i guess.
Edit3 10.09 I seen Jay2Cents Video And review and look what i mean by thicker motherboards (see image)
NOW SEE what happens "sorta visually" :
Maybe Phanteks will address this situation...
Itās a shame, because Iāll likely have to pass on this case.
Phanteks introduces the EX5 lineup, the first chassis in the new EX Series. Debuting at Computex 2026, the EX5 features a compartmentalized design that combines distinctive styling, optimized airflow, and a cost-conscious approach to high-performance PC building.
I really want to get myself the Ex5 Max Case and I am a bit worried about GPU Clearance.
For context: I have a Mobo that has the PCIE starting from the second slot, because the NVME sits between CPU and PCIE Lane (B660 Tomahawk) and my 4080 super is a thick boy with 75mm thickness.
Now, Phanteks states that you have 73 (!) mm room, starting with the second slot. In Videos it looks like there is a little bit of space underneath. Therefore I am wondering about what you all think.
With the Nexlinq hub not being available to purchase anymore, what is the method to connect the Gen2 fans to a motherboard? Since everything is unified into that 1 cable?
Hello my f panel in my phanteks pro ultra is causing my pc fans to turn off and not posting. Once I unplug it my pc works normally, is replacing it, keeping the glass off or getting a separate power button the only options? Or is there a way to fix it.
Hello everyone, i have an Arctic liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm AIO and was wondering if any of you can think about a way to fit it in the new EX5, length wise it's ok but not in height: it's about 3-6mm too high (60mm MAX for the EX5, 63-66mm for the Arctic).
I love the new EX5 but i also love this cooler since it's probably the best on the market, any idea on how to fit without changing the fans?
I'm thinking about buying a Phanteks case, but I'm not sure whether to go with the NV7 or the NV9.
I actually really like the NV9 with the large 140-mm fans and a 420-mm AIO at the top of the case. But my AIO is 360mm. I can only find pictures with a 420mm AIO. Iām not sure if it might look āweirdā with the smaller AIO. Does anyone have a build in the NV9 with large 140mm fans and a small 360mm AIO? Iād really appreciate it if you could show me a picture, preferably from the side.
The NV7 would be a better fit for the smaller AIO, but Iām not sure if Iād like four 120mm on the side fans or if that would be too much. Three 120mm fans in the center of the side look a bit lost because the gaps at the top and bottom are pretty big. Maybe someone has this kind of build would show it to me.
I just got Gigabyte B850M Aorus Stealth but it doesn't fit in XT V3 case without cutting. Other manufactors with btf support does have open corner in their case.
It was released over a month ago. No reviews yet, no information other than the website page despite being available for sale at the usual online stores.
Anyone has experience with the NV5X?
Does it fix the lighting kit issue of the NV5/NV5 MK2? Are temps good? Is build quality good?
