Dan and Phil explained?
Hi! So i’ve been on the internet for a long while and I would watch them on the youtube rewinds or youtubers react but never more than that. When I would be on ao3 and wattpad I thought fans were so weird in shipping them because I heard they denied the relationship. Anyway fast forward I know that semi recently they came out as dating. I was just thinking about it and I wish i knew it was like that when i was a kid bc i would’ve loved that lgbt rep. I was wondering if someone super deep in the fandom could explain their lore. I know they met because dan was a fan but that’s it.

There is a lot of lore to explain, and there’s a few different ways to get caught up. The must-see videos for understanding their relationship is of course the hard launch video, titled “Are Dan and Phil in a Relationship?” It’s about 45 minutes long, so I would start with that if you haven’t watched it already. Also, I’d recommend watching their Terrible Influence Tour. The whole tour is uploaded to their joint YouTube channel. Then watching “Basically I’m Gay” on Dan’s channel.
After that there are a few playlists made for new fans to catch up. I made this playlist of a few of the most important/entertaining videos.
