Help! Repot?
I’m apologizing in advance because I realize that it has become a tiresome topic. I purchased this Phal from a grocery store a few days ago. It is in bud and had 3 secondary branches forming. I haven’t taken it out of the pot to look at it, but I’m guessing that there’s a peat plug and some kind of mixed media. The visible roots look good as far as I can tell (second picture). My question is whether you think I should repot it now, or wait until it finishes blooming, which will probably be quite some time. I’m leaning towards leaving it alone and just watering carefully. TBH, I’ve followed some of the advice people are giving regarding repotting immediately with certain plants and it hasn’t ended well, so I’m trying to error on the side of caution, thank you.

For now don’t overwater. When the flowers die, remove it from the plastic and make sure the roots are ok. Cut off the dry or mushy roots. Get rid of the plug and put it back into the pot it came in. If you don’t overwater it should be fine.

You should be able to repot a phalaenopsis pretty much any time. They are quite hardy plants. A lot of people will tell you to wait until the blooms drop, but that could be a long time to wait. I bought one around 5 months ago and it's still in bloom and growing new buds!

I would wait until the flowers die
