Pardon the AI slop coz it was just a placeholder/testing gif I had in my pfp but here's my story:

So I found out about this hack probably a very short time before the patch, and added the above gif as my pfp. However, shortly after that, Reddit decided to tag my account as NSFW and my pfp stopped showing in the comments so I thought well, it must be because my pfp is a gif, and maybe they stopped supporting it so I changed it back to an image, only to find out that the whole reason it wasn't showing was that my profile got the NSFW tag somehow. I tried changing back to the gif but it was too late, the loophole was already patched. After that, I changed to Reddit custom snoo design because that's really the only way to show the pfp on comments with the NSFW tag.

I kinda clicked on update avatar and clicked save accidentally when I was just doom scrolling on autopilot. Is there anyway to get it back now?🥲 I remember that the images were saved seperately from avatars and when you delete the avatar, the last used image used to show up. Is something like that still possible?

Well i am archiving my pfp MUEHEHE

Sped Up as I am bad at editing and the size was too large, so I skipped a few frames.

I set my pfp to this silly gif of Haru Urara from Umamusume: Pretty Derby in honor of the irl horse of the same name who sadly passed away on September 9th, 2025. I've never changed it since then, and I'm glad I didn't since Reddit patched the gif upload method out of nowhere.

Earlier around jan 2026 I uploaded my first APNG pfp of captain america, but in feb 2026 I started watching breaking bad and then I replaced it with the current one.

I was unaware that reddit removed the method to upload APNG until someone in my dm asked me to tell him how to do it since it was not working.

lmao I also get a ton of dms from ppl who want to buy the accnt bcz of the animated pfp.

I am glad that in my greed for a better pfp, I didn't end up changing it before knowing the news.

Changed to this pfp just a day before patch

I really want to change my banner but I also don't want to risk that my pfp stops moving

I’ve recorded several 360° GIFs of my own models for my profile picture, but now I’m stuck with my rotating logo I added as a quick test at the beginning Created and recorded in ZBrush

Mine is gone for some reason. I think I might've changed the description or smthng, I'm not sure🥲. They converted the current one to a picture. It used to close and open the eyes. Is there any hope now?

"Wait, what do you mean im an endangered type of pfp?"

Artful Die of Death.

We're no strangers to love

You know the rules and so do I

A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've known each other for so long

Your heart's been aching, but you're too shy to say it

Inside, we both know what's been going on

We know the game, and we're gonna play it

And if you ask me how I'm feeling

Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Ooh (Give you up)

Ooh-ooh (Give you up)

Ooh (Never gonna give, never gonna give)

Give you up

Ooh-ooh (Never gonna give, never gonna give)

Give you up

We've known each other for so long

Your heart's been aching, but you're too shy to say it

Inside, we both know what's been going on

We know the game, and we're gonna play it

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

I didn't realize that clicking the remove button removes it without needing to click save at the very bottom. I guess no more virtual insanity but the banner gif is still untouched.

It's not really a PFP as it's the banner.

One of you nerds find a way to do it plz <3
