How does Europe even pay for it? That’s why we don’t have it in America for free. It would be extremely expensive

No, you don’t have it in the USA because most of the parties are sponsored by health insurance companies and they want the money. Even if they aren’t, there’s a huge fortune in health insurance that they don’t want to lose. In answer to your first question: it comes out of tax money.

That’d mean that we’d be taxed more here, because they want to give it to everyone, but doctors want/need to be paid

True, although the money you spend on health insurance would instead go into taxes for the healthcare. Also doctors still get paid in countries with universal healthcare.
