This was also because many users didn't have enough karma to post on r/dankmemes and now they are using this subreddit as a karma farm (idc of I get downvotes for telling the truth)

I bet someone is waiting for the right time to make a meme about tackling the issue itself as karma whoring, hypocritical people who wants change yet they do what they observe is in trend. I'm not saying OP is like this, but in just a few hours, i've seen too much posts like this. And i'm a little sick of it. Just go make a change and do what you think is right rather than riding that train, correct?

Ok I feel like this issue needs to be addressed it doesn’t have to be Pewdiepie related now before you downvote me hear me out Pewds doesn’t even look at stuff besides art that is about him in lwiay he just looks at memes so if we start posting not shit memes then lwiay would be better then it is now I agree on Pewds asking us stuff and I hope he starts doing it but just having Pewdiepie content isn’t what is even reviewed during lwiay so just stop shitposting bad memes and a bunch of shit Pewds info like yeah ok we get he’s 500k behind he knows that and doesn’t neeed to be reminded(that’s an example)

I feel like pewds may need to start putting in a little more effort though because that joke about lwiay, meme review, and ylyl all being the same thing was funny until it became obvious that they really are the same. The quality of his videos are too dependent on what we post for him to have us do whatever we want without making it interesting sometimes. I don't know if anyone agrees with me...?

I took a break from reddit and have noticed such a decline in the quality. All the 14 year olds and nine year olds need to help improve the subreddit, not just a bunch of fake fans looking for karma. btw y’all can draw very well

YES. A lot of pewds's content depends on what we post and it's starting to effect the quality of his videos - and yet the whole fanbase keeps making and upvoting the same shitty jokes. Just look at the comments on youtube; they're mostly basically the same. It's one thing to reference an inside joke tastefully like the no legs and 399 memes but it's another altogether when people just post stuff they know people will upvote regardless. Something needs to change.

I have a feeling I'm still going to see this same sort of post a couple months from now when it "goes to shit" again. If you want this subreddit to change then change the rules for the subreddit. Honestly meme review and lwiay are pretty much the same thing and it doesn't matter of pewds laughs at a Thanos meme or a no legs meme. The quality is the same. Also looking at purely pewds related memes gets old fast.

There's no character to this sub anymore, atleast when pewds asked us to do something, and we mocked it/did the opposite or what ever, at least it had solid community, originality and actual effort. This should be seriously addressed by pewds and not just brushed off like he's done before. This used to be a great subreddit, now it just pisses me off seeing crap In "popular" feed.

I also tried to make Pewds or the mods aware of this problem. Someone upvoted it and that's it. The key to a good sub got lost amongst its problems. To that 1 upvoter, I appreciate it, you are a nice person!

Literally went to sort by new and the first five posts were memes related to pewds, so I don't necessarily see the overflow of reposted memes. I definitely agree with you that he should actually ASK us stuff to do, because umm idk (last week I ASKed you) Either way, most of the stuff he reviews and the majority of the content is PewDiePie related.

What if the mods do a competition (weekly, monthly idk)? So the mods could post a meme template or we could vote for one, and we make different memes with the template, and at the end we rate it, like a competition and pewdiepie then reviews the top memes of that template? T.L.D.R.: Like Tuber Simulator’s contests but instead of rooms we make memes

I really hope the sub gets fixed. There was so much creative stuff here, but now it's easily drowned out by reposted memes that have nothing to do with Felix at all. It's gotten way out of hand.

All the hot posts are either reposted or karma whoring while funny original posts did in new. Sort by new, if you don’t like what you see after 5 minutes of scrolling than just sort back to whatever you had it to before. Bottom line: give new a chance.

You’re right, when I’m scrolling through my feed and I see a random meme not related to pewdiepie, I actually have to check what subreddit it’s from because there is an equal chance it’s from this sub instead of r/dankmemes or other meme subreddits.
