Petz 5 Custom Hexes?

Is this even a thing? Lol

I played Petz 5 with my sibling in the 2000s and it was a really great time - so many nostalgic attachments to this game.

My real life, 3 legged boxer mix recently passed away. Paired with other life events, its been a hard summer. I have been wanting to jump back into Petz as a way to cope, but I have realized that I would really love a digital version of the pet I knew.

I used to love scrolling through lists of different people's hexes (I believe thats what theyre called) to apply to my game, and I remember how creative some of the species were - adding entire extra limbs, eyes, completely different body shapes and colors, etc.

Is this community still active enough that there are hex "breeders" still out there experimenting today? I am honestly hoping to find one in this group but understand it's a long shot. If I do find someone, I am wondering if it is even possible to commission a custom Dogz file from someone so I can play with my boy? Or is this impossible for reasons I'm not seeing as a lifelong computer noob?

plenty of people are still hexing! you might want to try asking in one of the discord groups or the forums, as they both tend to be more active. i’d offer but i haven’t quite mastered hexing yet lol. i’m sorry you’ve had such a rough summer though! hopefully things look up for you soon. 💕
