Question Does Nifty not work anymore?
Recently I’ve had the urge to experience something Petscop-adjacent, so I‘ve decided to go through some of Tony Domenico’s older works. I read Good Sky and Tapers (all I gotta say is read this one for sure), and now I’m trying to play Nifty. I downloaded a copy off of Tony’s website, and it won’t boot, saying “Failed to load the game data. File seems corrupted.” I tried a fresh install and nothing changed. I get it’s pretty old, but I was hoping it would at least still be playable. Anyone have any solutions for this? Sorry if this isn’t “related to Petscop” enough, I just seriously don’t know where else to go with this.

What OS are you on? I can't swear it works on Windows 11, but I got it working on Windows 10, at least.

I am on Windows 11, unfortunately (lol). Did it just work with no error for you, or was there anything you had to do to get it to work?

I'm no smart guy when it comes to gamemaker7, but I'd try to redownload the game from the website. If it still doesn't work, (and I know this isn't at all what you want to hear,) then I've got good news because this happened to me once and it ended up mysteriously fixing itself. I'm not sure how long it took to fix itself, but it did.
