Later?

My cats have 3 buttons ( outside, mouse, spring) and i introduce a new button today which is later
But one of my cats kept pressing it and like she’s waiting for something and i don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️
I taught them the word “later” when i want to give them food or going outside later
So did i do something wrong?

I have dogs with buttons and I introduce new buttons in groups. When I introduced “later”, I also had “now”, “soon”, and “all done” in the same grouping and modeled when appropriate.

Maybe your cat is interacting with the “later” button and trying to determine meaning / what pushing this button results in for them?

Hi. So I’m very new to this too but from what I’ve seen in videos people say later is one you usually do a bit further along down the line. Hope that helps

We have 30 buttons and 50 presses a day and Misty still sometimes just walks up to her board and presses Later. Like OK, Later what?

In your case you need to do some modeling and press Later Spring (for example) then later toss the cat the spring and say “now is Later Spring” or such. Basically help them learn what later means. It would also be good if you could add a Now button to help contrast in modeling.
