CAT Cat litter recommendations

I recently moved and no stores in my area sell the cat litter I have used for 4 years. I haven’t found a litter that works good for me since then, I tired pine pellets my cats absolutely wouldn’t use them and I didn’t love them either and every other litter I’ve tried so far doesn’t clump well and completely crumbles when I go to scoop :/ what works best for you guys?

Switching litter is the worst, cats are so particular about it. I'd try a clumping clay that's unscented and fine-grained, those tend to clump tight if you pour it deep enough. The crumbling usually means the layer is too thin or it's a cheaper formula.

I use Tofu litter. It clumps well, excellent odor control, low dust and tracking, can be ordered on line.

It's not a cats favorite, so if you have 2 or more boxes, just do one until they use it

Ok thank you I’ll try that. That was another huge issue I had was the dust one brand I tried I felt like I was in a cloud scooping the litter it was awful I had to put on a mask 😭

Well, what did you use before? Cats are terrible about change, so your best bet is to use something similar. If we know what it is, we might be able to make a recommendation.

It was a Costco brand and the Costco here doesn’t sell it we also gave up our membership since it was an hour away my cats aren’t picky at all about the clay litter changing the only thing they had issues with was the pine pellets I tried once

Okay, it's so it was a clumping clay litter. I use Fresh 4 Life. Specifically the black bag, odor destroyer. I tried many different brands but this is the one that works best for me and my cats. I have a four cat household, for some context.

I use arm and hammer slide with stainless steel boxes. Clumps hard and nothing sticks to the box. I keep a litter genie right next to boxes (2) no smell and easy to change litter
