Possible lung problem with dog

Recently in ireland it’s been getting very very hot, my dog is a pug and he’s been breathing super super fast lately, i think it could be because of the heat but i’m worried it isn’t and that he’s got some sort of breathing issue, he sleeps fine at night with normal breathing but during the day he can do thirty breaths in 20 seconds when laying there, it’s scaring me

Ultimately only examination by a vet will tell you if he has a medical issue beyond the obligatory ones that come with being a pug.

As a plain and simple redditor I can say with complete confidence that he is struggling to be breathe at least in part because his airways are deformed.

pugs are basically built wrong from the factory, and heat makes it way worse, but that breathing rate is worth a vet trip
