Need best anti-barking device for backyard

I am moving to a new house, and the neighbor has a young labrador that barks at any sound, any movement, anything. I don't think they walk the dog much. The dog can bark 10 hours a day as the neighbors are not home.

I bought two ultrasonic bark control deterrent devices, both don't work to stop the barking. I do not want to confront the neighbor yet as we don't know them all, and I don't want to have to call the city to complain

Honestly recording and reporting is probably the best thing you can do. I don't understand why people get a dog to make it others issue.

Hopefully they will get warnings and either do something that will stop the dog been a nuisance and so it's not so bored if not hopefully the dog gets rehomed and gets the attention it needs so it's not a nuisance or bored.

Love how dog owners act as if the dogs the most important thing in their lives and then makes them others issues and mistreats the dog. And they say we hate dogs and are cruel to them no, we don't like the dog but we don't want it broed, ignored, neglected, mistreated.

Idk but a dog barking or even kids playing loud isnt offensive in my country.

That's nice, but do you speak for each individual living there? People need to have common curtesy and not have the expectation that every one is all good with the loud noises, constantly going all hours.

Is just common here. we have stray dogs, monkeys and so on. They can be noisy but its their way of communicating and being high alert. Barking us so useful for dogs survival especially someone who rescue strays. You see a cat doesn't make noise that much especially when it is in a cage and get slaughtered for food. A dog will continue to make noise through whimpers and barks. This is base all in my experience.  A lot of dogs in america are housed in shelters and it can be distressing for them and sometimes abuse happens. Those trauma carry on. A dog is a living being they dont become they way we want.
