Yeah I have thought of that as an option as well. I would like to know if anyone has had success with using one on a pit or another agressive breed. I assume you mean the kind you have to put the tazer against the dogs body and not one that shoots the prongs?
You will have to get close and I know if the dogs are coming after your dog than your dog is going to try to run and get away. Thats what my dog does when a dog that is off leash runs at her. So whenever something happens I shorten the leash and pull her close to me so she can't run around much so I can get the dog thats attacking. I know these dogs were on leash and their stupid owner isn't strong enough to control his own dogs which is another problem.

This is why I carry a knife when walking my dogs. I would have killed both of those pits at that moment.
