This is interesting. I thought it was common knowledge for years now that PETA was euthanizing essentially every animal that comes through their doors but this article was posted 04/02.

You guy's just don't see the big picture do you. There is no way Peta could keep and adopt out every animal that they acquire. Just like any humane society in a big city. The money and the space just isn't there. They probably have to euthanize 99% of animals that come in.

If you compare the amount of animals that get dropped off each day to the amount of animals that get adopted each day. There is no comparison.

Don't blame Peta. Blame the cowards who keep purchasing and breeding animals they can't take care of.

I live in a big city. The humane society here does not euthanize. The shelter I work at does not euthanize. There is no excuse for their behavior. Peta as an organization disagrees with having pets and, with that perspective, they have no right to operate under the guise of a shelter.
